Play time with Kuya Cuba-colored by randomsketchez Play time with Kuya Cuba-colored by randomsketchez
I wanted to color this: [link]

Mexico seems like a tsundere character(I love tsunderes! ^_^), but he's actually a lot like Philippines. Or rather, Philippines is a lot like him. Well, whatever. They influenced each other a lot during the Spanish colonial period.

=============================================================================
Mexico = Nueva Espana
Feli = Felipinas or Philippines
Kuya = Big Brother. Its' use is not limited to family. A kind of honorific for guys old enough to be your big bro.

Philippine OC belongs to :iconrandomsketchez:
Mexico OC belongs to :iconnadiezda:

oh yeah there were a ton of them including the Philippines and places that are now states. Nueva Espana was a viceroyalty that was controlled from what is now Mexico, so its kinda like Mexico was a babysitter lol  :D (Big Grin)

Now it makes sense. Other people have told me he's like the babysitter. And Ive heard other people mention Mexico is a big bro/sis to the other Latino nations. hmnn. Better start reading on Nueva Espana. Seems like I can get some more headcannons for my Mexico OC. ^w^

yeah. I have yet to do some reading on that topic. It just seems harder to get some info on that one. Even in schools, it wasnt discussed in detail. Only that it was a trade route between Manila and Mexico. And thats just about it.

I know, a lot of the times schools don't discuss certain topics or just forget about them completely. I don't know if you are from the U.S but at least that is usually the case in here. Great job schools CURSE YOU! But I guess you can now go and try to find some things that the schools left out. I guess Mark Twain was right when he said, "I have never let my schooling interfere with my education"
